The Orientation Program (PRARAMBH’17) for B.Tech. First-year students was organized from 2nd August to 4th Augu st 2017 at Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhankrota. The main objective of the program was to make the students aware of engineering and its career perspectives. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest,Prof. (Dr.) Surendra Kumar, Former Scientist BARC. The Principal Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Hiranwal and Dean Academics Prof. Kapil Dev Sharma welcomed the Chief Guests. The Chairman of RIET, Ku. Bhim Singh highlighted the ethical aspects of being an Engineer. The Guest of Honor, Col. J.S. Lamba, briefed the students about Desire, Do and Dreams. Prof. (Dr.) Surendra Kumar, Former Scientist BARC focussed on the real meaning of being an Engineer. This three-day event has another purpose of passing along information about important campus resources and connecting the newcomers to the social and extracurricular aspects of RIET.

DAY 2- 3rd August 2017
On the 2nd day program the session started with presentation given by Dr Ranjeet Singh, Director and Founder, Youth Campus, Delhi. He talked about training and placements of engineering colleges and about its importance. He emphasized on how a student should prepare himself/herself for placements after the completion of the degree, what are the basic dos and don’ts that a student should follow.The second session after the tea break was taken up by Prof (Dr) Satya Sheel, an Expert from MNNIT Allahabad. He talked about “What you must know and must do as an Engineer”. He had an interactive session with students about what they are expected to do as engineers, what are their duties and responsibilities as technocrats. What their teachers expect from them and what the society and the country looks towards them for. They are the future generation creators of the techno-world.The third session on this day was taken up by Ms Chaitali Dutta, Asst Prof, Dept of MBA, RIET. She spoke on Code of Conduct: Discipline a key to success. She emphasized on the college rules and regulations, the dos and don’ts of the institution.The fourth session was taken up by Mr Snehashish Jha, Asst Prof, Dept of ECE, RIET. He spoke on placement requirements and competitive exams which the students will be facing in their forthcoming years in course of their academic career.
II year students also put up a lively cultural program in the honor of their newly arrived juniors, which was appreciated by all. The day ended with a happy note.

DAY 3- 4th August 2017
On the 3rd day (4th August 2017) the session started with presentation given by Ms Manisha Agarwal, Event co-ordinator, Head and Assistant Professor, Dept of Physics, RIET. She gave an introduction about clubs, sports & extra curricular activities of the college.
The second session was taken up by Shri Arun Singhal, MD, ACCENTURE. He provide an expert talk on interaction between Industry and institutions. The session becomes more interesting when he explained with live examples and displayed motivational advertisements and videos.
The third session on this day was given by Prof (Dr) Rajeev Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor, RTU, Kota .He talked about the forthcoming sessions, the university teaching methodology etc. He also talked about the perception of a student’s life through engineering.The fourth session was the valedictory programme. After the arrival of the delegates and college authorities, the lamp lightening ceremony took place by all the dignitaries. This was followed by floral welcome to all the guests by Principal Prof (Dr) Saroj Hiranwal and Dean Academics Prof. Kapil Dev Sharma.
Prof (Dr) Saroj Hiranwal Principal RIET, then put forth her welcome speech. The introductory speech was then given by Honorable Shri R S Tomar, chairman BOG, RIET. He extended his warm welcome to all the dignitaries and guests, and blessed the students with best wishes for their forthcoming academic years in this organization.
