14.12.2017- Two day International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies

Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology Jaipur organized a two day International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017) on 8th and 9th December, 2017.

The event was inaugurated by   Prof. N.P. Kaushik , Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the organizers for having this event in the college, he also said that seminars of this kind helps to communicate and spread knowledge and awareness among the professionals. This is very good as it benefits to all students, teachers and research scholars to stay up dated on the subject. He also mentioned that events of this kind should be a part of our academic calendar.

Prof. A.K. Dwivedi, Controller of Examination, RTU, Kota, highly praised the organizing team and said that the conference was very beneficial for all those who attend it. Academicians, Scientist, Researchers and practitioners of computer sciences will be able to share and discuss new findings and applications of the same. It is foreseen that the intellectual discourse will result in future collaborations between universities, research institutions and industry both locally and internationally. In particular it is expected that focus will be given to issues which have utmost demand in the present context.

Prof. B. K. Panigarhi, Professor, Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi was the key note speaker on this occasion. His discourse was mainly on how computational techniques can be applied for optimization algorithms. He used the example of particle swarm optimization technique. His speech was highly appreciated by the entire audience and all were spell bound in the entire presentation. He demonstrated deterministic and stochastic approaches for generating optimization algorithms.

Ms. Neenu Kumari, Project Manager, Link Group, Sydney, Australia, who is also an alumnus of RIET spoke on the occasion. She was very happy to be a part of the conference and gave a wonderful presentation on the subject.

Mr. Rajesh Sheoran, Lead Business Analyst , Qantus Loyalty, Sydney, also a speaker on the occasion spoke about the field of computational technologies and made all aware about the various developments and researches being done in the various parts of the world.

During the inaugural ceremony of the event, Principal RIET Dr Saroj Hiranwal, also chairperson of International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017), expressed her thoughts on the occasion and said that this International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017) aims to communicate and spread knowledge on cutting edge research being carried out globally in the field of engineering and technology. The objective of the conference is to bring together academicians, researchers, professionals, executives and engineers, from various research institutes and educational institutions. She added that RIET is indeed fortunate to have many such experts to commemorate the conference.

Principal RIET Dr Saroj Hiranwal, also said that more than 100 research papers have been received out of which 65 have been selected. The criterion for selection was, the research paper should meet the aim and scope of the journals and conference along with improved result of the existing methodologies. The papers will be published in scopus, ACM & UGC approved journals.

1 International Journal of Communication network and distributed systems(IJCNDS)

2 International Journal of natural computing published by IGI global indexed in Inspec, ACM digital library.

Proceeding research papers are published in form of digital copies in the inauguration ceremony. Proceedings of the conference will be available on the institute website as well as corresponding journal’s website.

Dean Academics & Admin, Prof Kapil Dev Sharma, also convener International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017) expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries for attending the conference. On this occasion he said that this conference offers a real opportunity to discuss new issues, tackle complex problems and find advanced enabling solutions which are able to shape new trends in communication and computational technologies for the development of human mankind being as a whole.

Prof. Sachin Sharma, Vice Principal, RIET, and organizing secretary, International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017), extended the vote of thanks to all the luminaries present on the occasion.  He expressed his views on the event and mentioned that, this conference will provide an outstanding international forum for experts and students from all over the world to share ideas and achievements in the theory and practice of all areas of modern communication systems which includes wireless communication, networking, computing systems, social networks, Internet of Things, cloud and big data etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Shikha Choudhary, co-convener International Conference on Communication & Computational Technologies (ICCCT 2017) said that a large number of students and participants from all over India and from many other countries are participating in the event. The international candidates will participate through skype and the participants attending in the campus will be able to interact with all the candidates form out-stations. She also said that it has been instructed to all participants that Presentations on this occasion should highlight communication technologies as a concept that combines theoretical research and applications in communication, information and computing technologies. All aspects of communication systems are of interest: theory, algorithms, tools, applications, etc.

The programme was graced by the following dignitaries:-

  1. Prof. N.P. Kaushik , Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota (as chief guest)
  2. Prof. B. K. Panigarhi, Professor, Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, (as Guest of Honor)
