Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government (1935) as the governing document of India.

The Constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country’s transition towards becoming an independent republic. 26 January was chosen as the Republic day because it was on this day in 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status offered by the British Regime.

To commemorate the same, Republic day was celebrated in the RIET campus on 26.01.16. The celebrations took place in the Mini-lawn which was decorated with tricolor festoons and flags. Beautiful rangoli was created on the entrance floor by the students. The flag hoisting ceremony took place at the appointed hour. All the faculty members, staff and students assembled to celebrate the function. The chief guest on this occasion was Mr. Abishek Singh (B.E. & Masters in International Business from Nottingham University Business School, Nottingham, U.K.), now running his own business.

There are 3 basic steps that a student can take to help themselves with the question of How to Choose a Career. These steps are especially helpful for the young learners as they develop a career plan.

Firstly Figure out where your career interests are by asking yourself:

  • Where do my interests lie?
  • What do I do well and enjoy?
  • What kind of personality do I have?
  • What’s really important to me?
  • What are my values?

Secondly, learn about your career options. Also, talk to people through informational interviews the more career planning that you can do as a student, the better prepared you will be when you start to look for your job.Thirdly the students should be equipped with essential skills

They should have a positive and proactive work attitude to prepare themselves for challenges. Students should have practical skills with a positive mind set and face the economic changes in the country.

The students were highly motivated and appreciated the talk session immensely.
