RIET is going on organised parents teacher meeting of first year and second year students of DELHI (NCR) on 26. 03.2016 at 10:00AM at our corporate office, BigJos Tower, pritampura, New Delhi.
A seminar was held on 26.02.16 regarding leadership skills. The main speaker on this occasion was, Mr. Harsh Faujdar from VIII Sem ME, RIET
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, RIET, Jaipur under Rachanatantra Club organized this one day motivational seminar tagged as Leadership, the important aspect of ones personality for the 1st year students.
About 150 students attended the seminar enthusiastically and attentively. The aim of the seminar was to motivate the students regarding their personality development.
The speaker stressed on the fact that Great leaders have vision. They can see into the future.
They have a clear, exciting idea of where they are going and what they are trying to accomplish and are excellent at strategic planning.
This quality separates them from managers. Having a clear vision turns the individual into a special type of person. This quality of vision changes a transactional manager into a transformational leader.
While a manager gets the job done, great leaders tap into the emotions of their employees.
He quoted Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues, for upon it, all others depend. Winston Churchill
The quality of courage means that you are willing to take risks in the achievement of your goals with no assurance of success. Because there is no certainty in life or business, every commitment you make and every action you take entails a risk of some kind.
Among the seven leadership qualities, courage is the most identifiable outward trait.
The students were highly motivated by the seminar.
A Seminar on Career awareness and future scope has been conducted at Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Jaipur on 26.2.16, by an expert team. There are 3 basic steps that a student can take to help themselves with the question of How to Choose a Career. These steps are especially helpful for the young engineers as they develop a career plan.
Firstly Figure out where your career interests are by asking yourself:
- Where do my interests lie?
- What do I do well and enjoy?
- What kind of personality do I have?
- What’s really important to me?
- What are my values?
Secondly, learn about your career options. Also, talk to people through informational interviews the more career planning that you can do as a student, the better prepared you will be when you start to look for your job. Thirdly the students should be equipped with essential skills
They should have a positive and proactive work attitude to prepare themselves for challenges. Students should have practical skills with a positive mind set and face the economic changes in the country.

This Summit was organized to bridge the gap between Corporate and Education Industry for providing them the Ready Source for benefitting the Corporate by knowing their way of hiring interest.
RIET Corporate Sustainability Summit (RCSS16) now on its 1st year in a marquee event with more than 30+ Corporate on the calendar of sustainability professionals in the region owing to its strong positioning, progressive mind that builds from the feedback year-on-year and most importantly the drive amongst the practitioners to exchange, enable and excel – the very purpose of our summit!

This requires integrated thinking, a value chain approach, responsible leadership and collaboration across all stakeholders a push towards creating sustainable value for all. This will be our agenda – fostering sustainable value.
