Photography Event

RIET organized Photography contest to promote the hidden talent in youth other than books. The contest was organized from 8/11/16 to 11/11/16 .In this event students participated with full enthusiasm. To motivate the students, cash prize, trophies and certificates were distributed .The winners were selected by Honorable Chairman Sir, Principal Mam and Event Coordinator.

Among them the following students got the following positions:
1) Rohit Kumar (ECE,2nd yr),got first prize with a cash amount of Rs 1100/-.
2) Kamran Khan(Ist yr),got second prize with a cash amount of Rs 500/-.
3) Ankit Kr(ME,2nd yr) and Zainul Abedin (Ist yr) got consolation prize.

The prizes were given by Honorable Chairman Sir and Principle Mam.

Guest Lecture Report

Expert lecture on Engineering Thermodynamics


Dr. Vinod Singh Yadav(Assistant Professor, Manipal University)

 The Department of Mechanical Engineering, RIET, Jaipur organized an Expert lecture on ENGINEERING THERMODYNAMICS on 12thNovember, 2016 delivered by Dr. Vinod Singh Yadav was attended by all the staff member of Mechanical Engineering Department with around 45 students.

The lecture duration was 2 hrs in which all the students got to know about the advantage of advancement in Engineering Thermodynamics. Dr. Vinod Singh Yadav told the students about the use of enthalpy and entropy and all the laws related to thermodynamics engineering. The session was very interesting and students also queried there pros and cons regarding the Engineering Thermodynamics.

Lecture was a great success and the motive explaining the requirements and the application of such advance engineering training has been achieved.

Seminar on “The Role of measurement in Electrical and Electronics Engineering” & Technical Quiz

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Seminar on The Role of Measurement in Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 03 May 2016 by Mr. Harish Kumar Maheshwari and Mrs. Arti Sharma. The Presentation is given by our students and it was very Interactive for our students.

Seminar was started at 9.00 am. The Keynote speaker of this event was Dr. Sanjeev Sharma principal, RIET, Jaipur. He inspired students by giving motivational speech on measurement used in our daily life. Similarly Mr. HemantKaushik, HOD, EEE Department also given inspirational speech to the students. All faculty member of EEE Department were present and effectively co-ordinated to makeevent successful. 3 Judges for the seminar were Mr. Piyush Kumar, Mrs. Arti Sharma and Mr. TusharAgrawal. Students presented seminar on their respective topic.  After that there was a break of 45 minutes for lunch. At 2:00 pm Technical Quiz wasorganized for EEand EEE students. Duration for Quiz was 1 hr. There were 30 objective type questions.

At 3.30 pm resultwas declared and Prize distribution was done by Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma. After that Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Harish Kumar Maheshwari. Event was successful. Students enjoyed and curiously participated in both events.

Workshop On Industrial Automation

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Organized a Workshop on Industrial Automation by Appin Technologies Lab on 21 september 2016 in Choturam Seminar hall from 10.00am. to 1.00 pm for 2nd & 3rd year students of branches EE, EEE & ECE. This Event was coordinated by faculties of EEE Department. Workshop was given by Industrial automation experts Mr. Abhishek Sharma & Ms. Kalpana Sharma from Appin Technologies Lab, Jaipur.

Workshop was started at 10.00 am in the morning. A welcome speech was given by Mrs. Arti Sharma (Event coordinator, EEE). She inspired the students by her motivational speech and gave same basic information about Automation Industry.

Workshop was started by Ms. Kalpana Sharma with some basic and practical information about Industrial Automation industry. She gave Power Point presentation and explained some basic concepts about PLC, SCADA which are very useful in automation industry. After that Mr. Abhishek Sharma gave detailed explanation and knowledge about Allen Bradley Micrologix 1000 module and SCADA Wonderware INTOUCH. They gave some practical knowledge to the students about tools like PLCs of different companies and SCADA/HMI (RS View, Wonderware, WinCC, Cimpllity, Intellution, Panel View), Motion Control (Motors & Drives)  used in automation industry. They also explained about process Instrumentation, Panel Designing and Auto CAD.

This workshop was very informative and useful for the students. Students enjoyed and learned automation industry basics. They actively participated in the workshop.

At the end of the workshop  conclusion speech of workshop  is given by Ms . Kalpana Sharma.

Industrial Visit

Industrial Visit During 30th Of September 2016 To 6th October 2016

An Industrial visit was organized for Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and during 30th of September 2016 to 6th October 2016 for Pre-final year students.
It was seven days industrial visit tour. During this period students visited industries named Havells, Elin Appliances, Kullu Shawal factory etc at Baddi, Kullu. Here students learned lots of thins like working culture of industries, High end computing systems to process the tasks, Fully automated plant mechanism, Coordination of management and workers.
If we talk about Baddi then it is an industrial town and a Nagar Panchayat in the Southwestern Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The town lies on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana states in the Shivalik Hills, around 35 kilometers west of Solan.
It was highly successful tour with unique learning of technical stuff as well as different parts of exploring Indian states like Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh.

Workshop on German Language

Workshop on German language was held on 11.01.16 at the RIET campus. The programme started with the lamp lightening and paying obeisance to the almighty for His blessings. Dy Director RIET, Dr.Pawan Whig, welcomed the guests and addressed the gathering with his welcome speech and briefed about the importance of communication and foreign languages in our career and day to day life.

The programme was conducted by German language teacher and translator Mr Shivam Seem, who spoke about the importance of foreign language and especially German language.

The programme was attended by all the faculty members and all the students of III year of all branches. The workshop proved to be very useful and informative for all.

The vote of thanks was extended by Mr Sourav Sharma, from the TPO dept, he said that programmes like these were eye-openers for all students and faulty members, and we do look forward to many such occasions of information and interaction.

Report on NITTTR_2016

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing a Five day Workshop on New Manufacturing Technologies through ICT-34 from 07.11.2016 to 11.11.2016. The course is sponsored by NITTTR, CHANDIGARH. Principal, RIET, Dr. Saroj Hiranwal and Dean (Academics) Mr. Kapil Dev Sharma, inaugurated the program by lightening the lamp. About 15 participants from Mechanical department of the different colleges has participated in the course. Total 12 sessions will be conducted on different topics like Water Jet Machining, Laser Beam Machining, Chemical Machining and EDM. The closing ceremony of program will be on 11th Nov 2016. The first day of workshop has successfully organized.

Training on CYBER CRIME 17.10.2016



The Rajasthan police academy, shastri nagar Jaipur, conducted a course on cyber crime from 17.10.16 to 26.10.16.

The inaugural function took place on 17/10/16. The chief guest on this occasion were Shri Dilip Saini, (RPS) course director and Dr C B Sharma, CEO of  DRCBS cyber security.

Among the guest faculties were Mr Satyendar Gurjar of RIET College, who imparted lectures on cyber crime and other related areas. The topics covered included, knowledge of IT ACT 2008 and among this were- computer networking, data base, communication devices. Detailed discussion on National Nodel Agency, Indian CERT etc was held.

Discussions related to all technical aspects were also a part of the curriculum which included, computer hardware and hardware programming, computer language, Operating systems, directory file folder, booting process, transmission media, networking and its various types, NIC, MAC, IP address, ports & protocols, domain, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, IDS, IPS, PROXY SERVER, OPEN PROXY, ANTIVIRUS, Ransomware, DDOS ATTACK, ENCRIPTION, DIGITAL SIGNATURE, INTERNET SECURITY etc.

A lot more regarding Computers and its related topics were discoursed. Case studies related to the subject  judged by the supreme court were also part of the talk.

The concluding ceremony took place on 26.10.16 in which the chief guests were Shri Kapil Garg, IPS, Addl DG- SCRB, Shri Rajiv Dasot, IPS Director, RPA and Dr C B Sharma, CEO of DRCBS cyber security.
