Brief Summary of Role

The Learning and Development Associate is responsible for managing the scheduling, logistics, and implementation of all Appirio training events and workshops. This includes online (e-learning), virtual classroom, and in-person events using the company learning management system, room scheduling, vendors, etc. as needed to support the Academy, Leadership, and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. In addition, the Training Coordinator/Course Specialist will participate in and, in some cases, lead the design, development, and rollout of training courses and programs and develop the skills to facilitate/teach those courses as appropriate. This role requires strong planning, event management, and communication, skills and will require an expert-level use of the learning management system (to be trained). The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in building course development and production skills and facilitation/instruction capabilities and will be able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, program managers, external vendors, and internal customers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new course modules to be incorporated into existing courses, as well as research, design and implement new ones.
  • Collaborate with the Academy, HR, and leadership teams to create needed reports and analysis of training events and programs
  • Create and update course materials using standard tools and templates such as Articulate Storyline and Camtasia; participate in tool research and selection
  • Coordinate and manage training and workshop events globally
  • Manage course material, schedules, reports, etc. in the learning management system and other 3rd party tools
  • Create and update wiki content
  • Coordinate and manage feedback programs and systems for each training event
  • Manage registration and attendance/follow-up of all training events and workshops
  • Facilitate training courses and seminars as needed
  • Participate in goal- and budget-planning activities and tracking/report-out
  • Schedule speakers, vendors, and participants including travel arrangements.
Education and Required Experience (Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to two years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines required.
