Important steps of CAM -2023 (TENTATIVE)

Few steps are summarized here for the convenience of the applicants seeking admission through CAM – 2023.

(For details, please refer the information brochure available on RTU website)

  1. A candidate is required to register online and pay the registration fee by accessing the link :: (rtucam.org) . An application form no. and a transaction ID will be generated.
  2. Fill the application and option form. Take a print out of filled application and option form. The application form and allotment letter with relevant documents will be required at the reporting institute.
  3. Seat allotment procedure:
    1. First round:
      1. Seats will be allotted to all registered candidates on the basis of their choices and merit list criteria. A candidate who is willing to occupy his/her allotted seat, required to report physically to the allotted institute.
      2. A candidate who is not willing to occupy his/her allotted seat of the first round, need not report physically to the allotted institute, instead he/she is required to submit his/her consent online ( :: (rtucam.org) ) to participate in the second round (up- gradation).
      3. A candidate who has not given his/her consent online for the second round (upward movement) will not be considered for up-gradation.
    2. Second round:
      1. This is an upward movement round, where seats will be allotted to those candidates who have given their consent online as per 3.a.(ii) above.
      2. A candidate who is willing to occupy his/her allotted seat of second round, required to report physically to the allotted institute.
      3. A candidate who has not reported to the allotted institute as per the schedule, his/her allotment will be canceled. However, He/she may register again as a new candidate in the third round with payment of registration fee.
    3. Third round:
      1. In this round, registration will open for new candidates. They can fill their choices and lock it as per the seat matrix (available online) based on the vacant seats available after first and second rounds.
      2. Seats will be allotted to all registered candidates of third round on the basis of their choices and merit list criteria. A candidate who is willing to occupy his/her allotted seat of third round, required to report physically to the allotted institute.
      3. A candidate who is not willing to occupy his/her allotted seat of the third round need not report physically to the allotted institute, instead he/she is required to submit his/her consent online ( :: (rtucam.org) ) to participate in the fourth round (up- gradation).
      4. A candidate who has not given his/her consent online for the fourth round (upward movement) will not be considered for up-gradation.
    4. Fourth round:
      1. This is an upward movement round, where seats will be allotted to those candidates who has given their consent online as per 3.c.(iii) above.
      2. A candidate who is willing to occupy his/her allotted seat of the fourth round, required to report physically to the allotted institute.
      3. A candidate who have not reported to the allotted institute as per the schedule, his/her allotment will be canceled.
    5. Fifth round:
      1. If any seat remains vacant then the fifth (special) round may be held. The seat matrix will be displayed on website against the vacant seats.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

M.TECH.

Candidate should have passed under graduate (10+2+3) exam or equivalent with 55% (Round Number) aggregate marks or 6.25 CGPA on 10 point scale and equivalent and 50% aggregate marks (5.75 CGPA on 10 point scale and equivalent) in case of candidates belonging to ST/ SC of Rajasthan State in qualifying exams under following categories:

i.    Candidates who have passed B.E./ B.Tech. Examinations (in the related branch of engineering) of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota or any other recognized University/Institution or any other examinations recognized as equivalent.

ii.   Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/UGC/AIU/UPSC/AICTE {e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India); IEE} as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.

iii.    Candidates having M.Sc., MCA seeking admission to M.Tech. programmes should posses valid and qualified GATE score of the relevant branch.

Note: The equivalency of any degree for admission to any programme will be decided by University. If a recognized university has an approved conversion formula of CGPA into percentage then it will be applicable on producing the certificate of conversion from the concerned University. Otherwise AICTE approved conversion formula will be used i.e. Equivalent percentage = (C.G.P.A -0.75) X 10.

Computer Science B.E./B.Tech. in Computer /Information Technology, MCA (Mathematics as optional in UG)/M.Sc. (Info. Tech.)/M.Sc. (Computer Science)
Digital Communications B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication /Biomedical Engg./EI&C/M.Sc. (Electronics)/Electrical and Electronic.
VLSI Design B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication/Applied Electronics/Computer Engg
Power Systems B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/EIC/Applied Electronic
Production Engineering B.E./B.Tech. in Production & Industrial / Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy

Documents Required:

Candidates must carry two sets of self-attested photocopies of the original documents and all original documents are required for verification at the time of admission. All original documents should be submitted for University Enrollment as per CAM guidelines. These documents will be returned back after university enrollment.

Fee Structure:

The fee structure is approved by State Level Fee determination Committee, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The details are mentioned as below:

Note:

1. Fees related to examinations / development will be paid by candidates to the affiliating university RTU, Kota as and when required.

2. Fees may be revised by the State Level Fee Determination Committee, Govt. of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

3. Academic fee will be paid in two installments (Semester-wise).

NOTE:

  1. Caution money of Rs. 3000 is charged for Hostel which is refundable.
  2. Hostel Facility (Gym/Sports/WiFi/Library) can be availed only on yearly basis.
  3. Electricity bills for AC/ Suite Room is to be paid by the candidate separately

Documents Required:

Candidates must carry self-attested photocopies of the original documents and also produce the original documents to the admission counselor for verification of the eligibility of admission at time of reporting. The list of supporting documents is mentioned below:

SCHOLARSHIPS

Several Scholarships are provided by College and MHRD. Students must visit the campus to find a detailed outline of the scholarships offered by RIET. The students may visit AICTE site for MHRD Scholarship guidelines. PG Scholarship to GATE/Qualified candidates admitted to M. Tech @Rs. 12,400/- PM through Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India
