About The University

RISU has been incorporated as Rajasthan Government State University vide Act No. 6 of 2017. Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, former IAS and Ex-Secretary, Govt. of India has been appointed as first Vice Chancellor of RISU. Fifty-eight skill related institutions have been affiliated so far and more than 1000 students are pursuing skill based studies in these institutions. The affiliated institutions have commenced first session from July, 2018.

RISU is an effective institutional intervention to implement National Skills Qualification Framework in the State. Being a Government University, RISU is the affiliating body for a large number of institutions operating in skill and vocational training.

RISU Objectives
  1. To recognize, in such manner and in accordance with such parameters, institutions of skill education and training and affiliate such institutions.
  2. To develop credit framework in accordance with the National Occupational Standards;
  3. To develop Qualification Packs and Occupational Standards for identified job roles in consultation with the Sector Skill Councils or National Skills Qualification Committee and industry.
  4. To align qualifications, course programs to National Skills Qualification Framework.
  5. To identify and collaborate with industries for purposes of practical training of students in skills and to define norms for recognition of competency.
  6. To collaborate and co-operate with institutions to conceptualize, innovate, design, and evaluate educational and research programmes in skill education and training purposes.
  7. To institute courses of study and hold examinations for and confer degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions on persons who have pursued a prescribed course of study in the University including part courses carried out in any other University or recognized institutes for the purpose.
  8. To admit colleges and institutes, not maintained by the University, to the privileges of the University, and to withdraw all or any of such privileges.
  9. To establish and maintain colleges, schools, centers, divisions, departments, institutes relating to skill education and training.

About the Program

All the courses are approved by Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) and National Skill development Corporation (NSDC) Government of India.  The Courses are strictly aligned as Qualification Packs (QP) specified for the desired skillset and as per National Occupational Standards (NOS).

All the courses are taught in outcome based manner, which is suggested by Washington Accord. The certification of these courses is equivalent in all the countries in the agreement. Originally signed in 1989, the Washington Accord, is a multi-lateral agreement between bodies responsible for accreditation or recognition of tertiary-level engineering qualifications within their jurisdictions who have chosen to work collectively to assist the mobility of professional engineers. The signatories in the Washington Accord, as on today are 28 which includes Australia, Canada, Singapore, Japan, USA etc.

Scope

Scope of Robotics and Automation

The course focuses on Design and Assemble Automation System. The systems include components of different types: electrical components, electronic assemblies, instrumentation and sensors; electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components, wiring, Control Panels, PLCs, SCADA, communication components and associated software. At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  1. Understand what Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is
  2. Know which RPA tools are most relevant
  3. Understand the challenges & risks when implementing RPA
  4. Envision a basic RPA implementation plan
  5. Understand why RPA is a massive career & earning opportunity
Scope of Data Analytics

Data analytics is a process through which data is cleaned, analysed and modelled using tools. This data is then used to derive insights. The insights are then used for business-related decision-making purposes. There are many techniques that data analysts use in different fields of work. In the world of business, Data analytics is used for making strategies to get the desired business results. Today, data analytics has become a big career option in India. As a result, big data analytics courses are in huge demand. At the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Successfully perform all steps in a complex Data Science project
  2. Create Basic Tableau Visualisations
