The course begins by outlining the need for Automation and its impact on society, and then it discusses types, components, and applications of automation. Next the course introduces the students to robot types, components, and applications, and then it focuses on robot kinematics, programming, and control. Finally the course ends with impact on society and future development.

RIET is one among the few Research Centers in Rajasthan established by Rajasthan Technical University for offering Ph.D. programs in Engineering disciplines. The Admissions in the Ph.D. course can be applied through RTU-DAT (Doctoral Admission Test) conducted by RTU in the month of May-June every Year. The candidate seeking admission in Ph.D. course can apply directly through the online form provided at the link http://www.rtu.ac.in/RTU/DAT. After successful registration, the candidates have to appear in an Entrance Exam to be conducted at RTU, Kota. The written examination for RTU-DAT shall consist of 100 multiple choice questions of two & half hour duration in which set of 50 questions will be based on Research Methodology and another set of 50 questions for Specialization paper. Candidates are required to fill answer on OMR sheet pattern. The syllabus for Research Methodology and Specialization paper are available on the RTU web site.
The establishment of Research center at RIET has been made with a vision to promote the culture of research and development as an integral part of higher education institutions. The Ph.D. course at RIET is duly approved by AICTE and Affiliated by RTU.

Eligibility
The eligibility for admission in Ph.D. program is Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline of any recognized University/Institute or equivalent. The candidate must score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters) where marks are awarded or minimum equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as defined by AICTE/UGC or any other competent body as the case may be.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme RIET has Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme of AICTE. Under this scheme 100% tuition fee of meritorious students of each branch (5% of intake) from economically weaker category has been waived off in all 4 years of B.Tech.
