IT sector can truly be considered a global career in terms of its wide scope for professionals. India has been one of the leading exporters of IT talent and Indian computer engineers have played major role in the growth and development of IT sector in the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada. Numbers of employment opportunities are waiting for Indian computer professionals in these countries. Some new avenues too are being opened for Indian computer professionals in Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, etc. Thanks to global demand for IT services, which is around USD $70 trillion for many new and exciting international careers are opened up for computer professionals.

True to its global reputation, the Indian IT sector has lots of scope in terms of growth in employment opportunities. A huge requirement of trained IT engineers is expected in next couple of years. While according to NASSCOM, the Indian IT exports are expected to expand to the tune of US$ 175 billion by 2020 and the domestic sector will account for US$ 50 billion in terms of earnings. Similarly, a huge quantum of profit is expected from the export and domestic IT sector which would be worth US$ 225 billion

This laboratory has state of art software and hardware needed for research work and to development projects. The laboratory contains: Network simulator (NS3), it is an open source software which is used to create an open simulation environment for computer networking research. Scilab, it is a computing environment for engineering and scientific applications mainly for image and signal processing.

This Laboratory is mainly used for developing portable application software and to implement various kinds of data structures like stack, link-list, trees etc. The lab consists Ubuntu operating system and GCC,G++ compilers for development and implementation of programs.

This Laboratory works on the Unified Modeling Language (UML). It is a visual modeling language that enables system builders to create blueprints that capture their visions in a standard, easy-to-understand way and provides a mechanism to effectively share and communicate these visions with others. In this laboratory students develop the softwares using software engineering methodology. The IBM Rational Software Architect is a modeling and development environment that uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for designing architecture for C++ and Java EE (JEE) applications and web services.

Database Laboratory is aimed at facilitating and improving the usability of database. The core focus on the design of database and writing applications for manipulation of data for a stand alone and shared data base including concepts like concurrency control, transaction roll back, logging, report generation etc. The laboratory works on SQL and ORACLE.

Operating systems lab provide the basic functionality on every computer that allows any type of application software to be run. For computer science students it is crucial to know and understand the principal concepts and mechanisms of operating systems. This understanding helps them to efficiently use programming languages to develop software built on top of the operating system. This also applies to students working in other fields related to information technology, who could benefit greatly from a deeper knowledge of operating system internals.

The laboratory works on Open Graphics Library (OpenGL).

OpenGL provides a set of drawing tools through a collection of functions that are known as within an application. It provides a thorough treatment in the field of computer graphics, multimedia as well as in simulation and virtual reality.

It also provides the development of virtual and augmented reality applications, grid computing and interactive learning systems.

Microprocessor lab aims to know the internal organization of 8085, 8086 and 8051 Microprocessors and Assembly Language Programs using the instruction sets of processors and to study the interfacing of the processor with various peripheral devices. Microprocessor laboratory is equipped with microprocessor kits and interfacing devices. The students achieve encoding skills in Assembly Language and Interfacing with various devices. The students have in depth knowledge in writing and executing 8086 8085 and 8051 Assembly Language programs.

An embedded system is the one that has computer-hardware with software integrated in it .Embedded system Lab provides students with hands-on experience in building, programming, testing, and debugging processor. In this lab students can develop various projects which are the combination of hardware and software.
