We at RAJASTHAN INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (RIET) provide you a decent stay and the best possible learning environment. The stay at campus would certainly provide a wealth of experience by developing qualities such as comradeship and social responsibility.
RIET offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Each hostel has spacious and well furnished rooms offering a plush, modern lifestyle. The rooms are well-equipped with Wi-Fi facility, water purifier, water cooler and provision for indoor as well as outdoor games. The students housed in the campus are encouraged to use the gymnasium, playground and all indoor gaming facilities. These hostels also have home like dining facilities that offer fresh & nutritious food to the students. RIET hostels give an environment to create most effective conditions for student development. The hostels are located within the campus thus offering secured abode. The hostel is designed in such a way as to provide optimum utilization of students time for their overall personality development. The first aid facility is available within the campus. Several other facilities are also available in hostels to make the student stay most comfortable and enjoyable.
Our laboratories comply with the International standards which help the students to be well conversant with the various instruments. By handling the most sophisticated equipments, the students build up a high confidence level, which benefits them in the long run.
A fully computerized, air-conditioned library with a rich collection of books & periodicals cater to the needs of students and faculty. Online journals like IEEE, ACM, AMSC, SPRINGER and ASME are also available in the library. The college library is part of DELNET (Developing Library Network), an initiative by the Government of India to promote resource sharing by creating a network of libraries. The book bank facilities, previous years question papers, faculty notes, E-notes, CDs, DVDs etc are provided to students.
Assets:
A) Infrastructure: Library building and other facilities play a major role in the good library. There are approx 6000 sq ft area for reading and stacking area in the library having good quality furniture and fixtures. It situated in the center of the RIET and easy approach of all the departments and students. Libraries are soul of any institution and for the batter environment of reading a good infrastructure and facilities are required. The growth of the library kept an increasing and therefore the asset like Elmira, book self, computers were increased accordingly. The re-oriented of arrangement and addition of separate reading room were included in the library. This reading area is well furnished and air conditioned to provide the proper reading environment to the student. It provides reading space for 100 readers at a time. The library was also facilitated with e-journal. The volumes of Books, Journals and Magazines increased to the large size needing addition fixtures. The addition of bookshelves, journals demanded re-orientation again. The academic strength of various departments also increased and new courses are added in the institute. Hence library re-oriented accordingly.
B) Library Books:The RIET Library is a world-class collection of digital and printed resources on all areas of engineering and technology. We specialize in Management, Electrical, Electronic & Communication, Mechanical engineering, Computing and IT, Civil. Our collection contains 29300 printed books and 155 Journals and Magazines on these subjects.Books are the true friend of the any student and play a role like a weapon in his or her life. Without books students are like an army without arms. RIET library is a rich library having good collection of technical Books, Magazines and Journals & well stocked library with thousands of standard books on development issues. The yearly purchase record is given below.
C) Printed Magazine and Journals: Magazines and Journals also play a major role in the technical libraries. The Journals provide latest information, recent trends and recent developments in technical and other fields. RIET library subscribes many technical Magazines and Journals.
Health is wealth, and you get that wealth only by Workouts. In this regard, we have provided gym facility to the students. A fully air conditioned and well equipped gymnasium is available within campus for students as well as faculty.
Physical activity is good for your mental health. Experts believe that exercise releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel good. Regular exercise can also boost your self-esteem and help you concentrate, sleep, look and feel better.There are well equipped international standard Gyms separately for boys, girls and staff with the latest equipment in the well laid out in in-door Gym units.
The gym schedule is as follows:-
Morning : 5.00 a.m to 7.00 a.m
Evening : 4.00 p.m to 7.00 p.m
The objective of the Canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of food borne illness, with proper sanitary conditions and preventing adulterated food. From the very beginning of the College in 2000, the College Canteen has been functioning efficiently. The canteen is located inside the College. The HOSTELLERS and day scholars are provided meals by assuring food safety and quality.
The students who come from faraway places, start their journey to the College early in the morning. For them mid-day meal is provided. Even many day-scholars use canteen facility for their breakfast and evening tea with snacks. The Management of the Canteen is directly under the control of College Administration. The Contractor of the Canteen is selected according to the available and suitable quotations. A well experienced person in food services management, his team is managing, the canteen of RIET. Students and staff of the College are benefited by the College canteen.
Menu will be planned by the assigned team of Management and instructions will be given to the Contractor. The contract of the Canteen will be renewed every year. Periodical meeting will be conducted by the team of Management and Contractor in order to appraise the function of Canteen. Liberalization of food trade, growing consumer demand, physical set up and sanitary conditions are also discussed during appraisal. Also suggestions, complaints and problems of the food consumers are taken into consideration.
The canteen and the surroundings are always kept neat and tidy. Plastic bags less than 10 microns are not permitted inside the campus.
Only one common eating facility (canteen facility) shall be provided in the campus for day scholars, hostellers, guests of the College, teaching and non-teaching staff of the College. The management is fully committed to keep the quality of the canteen for the utmost benefit of all concerned.
